Sound healing is considered safe for most people. However, sound healing may not be suitable for individuals with the following conditions and they may need to obtain permission from their healthcare professional before they can attend a session. Please get in touch if you have any questions and ensure to let your practitioner know about any conditions before attending a session. Conditions: Epilepsy, history of seizures or any condition that could be triggered by sound, a pacemaker as it may alter the rhythm of the pacemaker, metal implants, screws or pins as the instruments may resonate with the metal, first trimester of pregnancy due to the sensitive nature of pregnancy during this time and third trimester of pregnancy.
As with any new therapy, it is recommended to consult with your healthcare provider before trying sound healing if you have any medical conditions or concerns. Sound healing should not be used as a replacement for traditional medical treatments. It can be used as a complementary therapy to support overall health and well-being, but it is not a substitute for medical care.
A group session will take place in a local studio and you will lie down and get comfortable on a mat with blankets and pillows. The session will then start with a short guided meditation before you float away to sounds of the gong, crystal singing bowls, chimes and more. A typical session will last for 60 minutes with an opportunity to share your experiences and chat afterwards. After the session it is recommended that you drink lots of water and to relax to give your body the support it needs while healing and integrating the session.
Please fill in our Sound Healing Participant form before attending your first session with us or anytime your information changes, you can find the form here.
Please arrive 10 minutes before the start of the session so you can use the bathroom, get comfortable on your mat and any questions you may have before we begin. Wear comfortable clothing - you may get hot or cold during a session so wearing layers that you can put on or take off is advised. Blankets and an eye mask may be provided, check the event description and bring your own if necessary. If possible, try to avoid excess caffeine before the session as it may help you have a more restful session and help your thoughts to drift away during the session.
Please be aware that we will be unable to grant entry to latecomers once the sound bath has begun so please be sure to arrive on time. You will be unable to receive a refund for your ticket if you are denied entry due to lateness.
The frequency of sound healing sessions depends on your individual needs and goals. Some people may benefit from regular weekly sessions, while others may only need occasional or monthly sessions. It is recommended to try a few sessions to determine how frequently you would like to incorporate sound healing into your self-care routine. Regular sound baths can promote relaxation, reduce stress and anxiety, and improve overall well-being. So, if you find the practice beneficial, consider making it a regular part of your self-care routine.
We are unable to offer online sound journeys at the moment but hope to offer this in the future, watch this space!

Sound Healing
AKA: Sound Bath, Gong Bath, Sound Therapy, Sound Journey, Sound Meditation
‘Sound, as a vibration and force inherent in all things, has a purifying nature. Sound can and does affect the cellular structure of matter. It also has the ability to harmonise otherwise dissonant frequencies both within and around us’.
Sound and its healing properties have been celebrated for centuries, with every culture on the planet using sound for healing, connection, celebration and ceremony.
Sound healing is the application of sound waves at different frequencies applied to or around a person's being. Each part of the client's energy field, chakras or body parts resonate with a different harmonic frequency, so when the client is exposed to this frequency, the body has the capacity to match that tone and attune itself to its original state of wellness and optimum functionality.
Sound healing can improve memory and the speed of recovery, reduce stress and anxiety, calm the mind and nervous system, improve the immune system, and reduce inflammation. Bathing in sound allows us to float away, rest, release, recharge, heal, raise our vibration and become happier, lighter and more joyful.
